Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill Blesencr
ADMINISTRA'T'OR
Jocl R. Hanson
The City has received a quote from Lillie Suburban Newspapers for 2005 Legal Newspaper
designation. No other quotes were received. Below is a comparison of this quote with 2004 rates:
2004 2005
Lillie Lillie
Suburban Suburban
Floor Agendas $46 $49
Legal Rate $4.82/in. $5.09 /In.
You will note from the quote attached that Lillie Suburban is quoting a cost of $293 per month for
publication of Council meeting minutes. As you will recall, in 2000 the City began mailing Council
meeting minutes to property owners who requested this service in lieu of publishing the minutes.
Currently, there are 10 property owners on the mailing list. Based on calculations put together a few
years ago, the cost for mailing minutes to one property owner for the entire year is $43.77. Given Mc
limited number of requests for mailed minutes, as well as their availability on the City's Web site,
staff recommends that the City continue the practice of mailing minutes upon request rather than
publishing them.
It is staffs recommendation that Lillie Suburban Newspapers be designated as the City's legal
newspaper for 2005.
