Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill Blesener
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is the revised easement for Metropolitan Council Environmental Services for their
inceptor relocation project that involves our current Public Works Garage site. (See map
attached for impact.) This document has been revised pursuant to Greg Schroeder's letter of
October 8, 2004 (copy attached). The City Attorney has reviewed and approved its current
form.
This topic was discussed at our October 13, 2004 meeting. The transcript of those minutes is
as follows:
MCES
INTERCEPTOR
EASEMENT
ACQUISITION
The City Administrator reported that as the result of the Unweave the
Weave project, Metropolitan Council Environmental Services needs
to relocate its interceptor to a new alignment near the Public Works
Garage. Therefore, Met Council is seeking an easement from the City.
0 lesener asked if this easement will impact the value of the Public
Works property. The City Administrator did not believe so. The City
Administrator noted the conditions that he is recommending relative to
this easement as outlined in his report dated October 8, 2004. The
Administrator suggested that the easement documents be redrafted to
reflect these conditions and that the redrafted documents be brought
back to the Council at a future meeting.
Based on the revised easement document, staff recommends approval of the easement at a
purchase price of 86,500 plus reimbursement of our legal costs associated with preparation of
the revised document.
cc: Dick Potts, SRI; Consulting Group, Inc.
