E <br />Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 -1633 <br />RE: LITTLE CANADA ROAD COUNTY ROAD TURNBACK / MSA DESIGNATION <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />Dear Council Members: <br />As you are aware Little Canada Road (CSAH 21) was reconstructed jointly by the City of <br />Little Canada and Ramsey County with the understanding that the road would be turned <br />back to the City. The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approved resolution <br />2004 -189 which transferred Little Canada Road over to the City as the first step of the <br />turnback process. The City must now pass a resolution concurring and accepting the <br />County's redesignation of the road. A copy of the City resolution is attached. <br />Little Canada Road is a County Road turnback, therefore the mileage will be 100% <br />eligible for Municipal State Aid Needs funding. At this time we are also requesting that <br />the City pass a resolution establishing Little Canada Road from Rice Street to Old <br />County Road C as a MSA route contingent on approval by the Commissioner of <br />Transportation.
