I-Ianson <br />Mayor Blesener has asked that the Council consider the reauthorization of the Rush Line <br />Corridor as part the new federal transportation bill that is being drafted. The current bill, <br />TEA -21, expired on September 30, 2003, but has been extended several times while <br />Congress works on the new transportation bill. As part of this process, the Rush Line <br />Corridor will be submitting a request to be authorized as a transitway corridor, which will <br />enable the Corridor to receive and spend federal funds. <br />Mayor Blesener will provide further explanation of this matter at Wednesday's meeting. <br />1 <br />
