3 <br />OPERATION OF MOBILE EARTH- MOVING EQUIPMENT. <br />Training programs shall be developed and instructed by competent individuals who <br />have knowledge, training, experience, and the demonstrated ability to identify existing <br />and predictable hazards related to the subject matter. <br />EXCAVATIONS /TRENCHING 1926.651 (k)(1) <br />Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems shall he <br />made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could result in possible <br />cave -ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other <br />hazardous conditions. <br />PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT 1926.95 a) <br />"Application."
