of living adjustment made to the salary scale for the position of Public Works Superintendent <br />as determined by the City Council. On April 17, 2006, Dircks' salary shall be adjusted to <br />Step 1 of the Public Works Superintendent's scale in effect at that time. For 2007 and future <br />years, the Public Works Superintendent's salary scale will be adjusted in a manner consistent <br />with other employees. <br />Dircks' salary will be reviewed annually thereafter in accordance with the review of the <br />salaries of other City employees in compliance with the City's comparable worth plan. The <br />City agrees to provide a performance review of Dircks after six months of employment and <br />once per year thereafter. <br />3. DEFERRED COMPENSATION. The City shall allow Dircks to enroll in the ICMA -RC <br />deferred compensation plan with contributions to this plan to be the sole responsibility of <br />Dircks. <br />4. VACATIONS. Dircks will continue to accrue vacation based on his tenure with the City <br />and subject to Section 13 of the City's Personnel Policy. He will also be eligible for one <br />week's additional vacation on January 1, 2006 and each year thereafter subject to satisfactory <br />performance. <br />5. SICK LEAVE. Dircks will accrue sick leave at the rate of one day per month as outlined in <br />Section 13 of the City's Personnel Policy. <br />6. HOLIDAYS. The City will provide to Dircks the same standard holidays as enjoyed by <br />other employees as set forth in Section 13 of the City's Personnel Policy. <br />7. INSURANCE. The City will pay the cost of hospital and medical insurance for Dircks and <br />dependents in the same manner provided for other employees pursuant to Section 12 of the <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />2 <br />
