Hanson
As you are aware, Little Canada Recreation Association is interested in operating at the
Little Canada Bingo Hall for three days per week effective September 1, 2005. As of
September 151, Lake Owasso Volunteer Council and North Suburban Youth Foundation
will be the two remaining charities operating at the bingo hall. These two charities are
interested in each operating two days per week, thus maintaining the current full week
operation, provided that a rotation schedule continues to be maintained.
One issue that has presented itself is that North Suburban Youth Foundation is not
interested in operating the morning sessions that are run on Tuesday's, Thursday's, and
Friday's. Representatives of Lake Owasso, North Suburban Youth, and LCRA will be
meeting early next week to work out a cooperative solution to this issue.
LCRA will begin the licensing process for their gambling operation at the bingo hall.
Approval of the license will be presented at a future Council meeting. At this point in
time, the Council is asked to ratify the concept of LCRA operating three days per week
and Lake Owasso and North Suburban Youth operating two days per week each. Final
details will be presented to the Council as they are available.
