TASK 4. SURVEY <br />A. It may be appropriate to consider another survey of residents in order to <br />determine park needs and current service. This is an optional service that <br />will be discussed with the City. <br />TASK 5. VISIONING WORKSHOP <br />A. Conduct a visioning workshop with the Park and Recreation Commission <br />and City Council to review issues and opportunities and establish a vision <br />for parks, recreation, trails and open space. <br />B. Document he outcome of the visioning workshop, particularly the issues, <br />opportunities and vision for the park system. <br />TASK 6. PRELIMINARY CONCEPTS <br />A. Prepare graphics for each park and trail area that summarizes the analysis, <br />issues, opportunities and vision. <br />B. Prepare concept plans that present ideas for future park improvements. <br />C. Meet with the Park and Recreation Commission to review the concept <br />plans. <br />TASK 7. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br />A. Present the concept plans and preliminary vision to the public in an open <br />house or workshop format that provides residents an opportunity to <br />provide input into the planning process. <br />B. Document and summarize the outcome of the public participation process. <br />TASK 8. DRAFT PARKS MASTER PLAN <br />A. Based upon public input, make any necessary revision to the concept <br />plans. <br />B. Prepare a draft Parks Master Plan; including plans and report, that <br />documents the inventory /analysis, demographics /trends, survey, vision, <br />concept plans and public process. <br />C. Prepare an implementation plan, with cost estimates for future <br />improvements and phasing recommendations. <br />D. Prepare preliminary recommendations on park and trail policies and <br />ordinances. <br />
