Hanson <br />www. ci. tittle- canada. mn. u s <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, <br />The annual Little Canada Canadian Days observance, first observed in 1977, celebrates <br />the sister city relationship between the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, and the <br />City of Little Canada; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />The Canadian Days Committee, sponsor of the annual Canadian Days Celebration is <br />comprised of civic - minded volunteers who work diligently to: <br />➢ Provide the community of Little Canada, Minnesota with a summer festival; <br />➢ Promote stronger ties of friendship and understanding between the residents of <br />Thunder Bay, Ontario and the City of Little Canada; <br />➢ Make charitable contributions to youth - oriented activities and organizations of the <br />City of Little Canada. <br />WHEREAS, <br />Mary Ann O'Kane has served as a member of the Canadian Days Committee for many <br />years working countless hours to further the goals of the Canadian Days Committee; <br />WHEREAS, <br />Mary Ann O'Kane has expressed her desire to retire as a member of the Canadian Days <br />Committee; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />that the Mayor and Council Members of the City of Little Canada, on behalf of the <br />Citizens of Little Canada, do hereby recognize and thank Mary Ann O'Kane for her <br />dedicated and outstanding service to the community as a member of the Canadian Days <br />Committee and for setting a high standard of community service and civic pride for <br />others to follow. <br />Adopted this 27th day of July, 2005. <br />William Blesener, Mayor <br />
