MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JULY 12, 1990
VARIANCE'.:;:;:,,
FOR-HORSESHOE
DRIVEWAY: ,
VERMEERSCH
compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner
as contained in his report dated July 10, 1990 as well
as requiring that a fence be constructed along the
western property line of the Poolside property.
Motion seconded by Bendel.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
Mr. Chuck Vermeersch appeared before the Commission
requesting approval of a variance to allow a horseshoe
driveway with two curb cuts at his property at 626
East County Road B -2. The Planner also reported
that he has discussed with the Building Inspector the
need to check grades for garages more carefully before
granting building permits.
Bendel recommended approval of the variance requested
by Charles and Mary Ann Vermeersch to allow a horseshoe
driveway with two curb cuts for their property at 626
East County Road B -2.
Motion seconded by Garske.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
Mr. Fred Smith, neighbor across the street from the
Vermeersch's, expressed concern about how the driveway
would look from their property. Smith pointed out that
the property is somewhat elevated and was concerned
that there would be a large view of blacktop.
Vermeersch explained his concerns for backing out onto
Page 11
-36-
