Hanson <br />www.ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />DATE: June 17, 2005 <br />RE: <br />Renewal of Gambling License <br />Lake Owasso Residence Volunteer Council <br />License Period — August 1, 2005 thru July 31, 2007 <br />Attached is the Gambling License Renewal Application from the Lake Owasso <br />Residence Volunteer Council for their gambling operation at the Little Canada Bingo <br />Hall. As you know effective September ls`, Lake Owasso will be operating two days per <br />week at the bingo hall on a rotating basis with Little Canada Recreation Association <br />operating three days per week and North Suburban Youth Foundation operating two days <br />per week. Additionally, and the Thursday and Friday morning sessions will be rotated <br />between Lake Owasso and LCRA (LCRA will operate the Tuesday morning session. <br />North Suburban Youth is not interested in operating any of the morning sessions). <br />The Lease Agreement has been negotiated with the landlord; and the rent will be at the <br />current rate being charged the other charities ($220 per session). Lake Owasso has a <br />meeting scheduled with the landlord next Tuesday at which he will be signing the lease <br />agreement. Also, the Chief Executive Officer's Acknowledgement Form will be signed <br />next week when Jane Neil, CEO, Lake Owasso, returns from vacation. <br />City staff would recommend approval of the Gambling License Renewal for Lake <br />Owasso as outlined above pending receipt of the signed Lease Agreement and CEO <br />Acknowledgement Form. <br />
