We would propose the
following process for the completion of this work:
1. Preliminary review of existing ordinances.
This phase of work would be completed by various staff and City Officials,
including City Council and Planning Commission. We would also seek Park
Commission comment on Subdivision regulations (particularly Park
Dedication requirements), and various zoning or environmental regulations,
depending on the specific topic. Each individual (or group of individuals, if
appropriate) would mark up a copy of the ordinances in question, focusing on
questions, issues, or potential missing information.
2. Workshop meeting to review marked up comments.
This meeting would be held to review, page by page, comments made to the
existing ordinance, and to discuss alternatives. Depending on time needs, it
may be that this meeting would be broken into two separate meetings.
3. Consultant review of comments and preparation of alternative language.
