Minimum distances for building and use from residential district. <br />In the M -2 heavy manufacturing district, no building or exterior use, except parking, may <br />be erected, altered or conducted within 350 feet of a residential district without a conditional <br />use permit. <br />(Code 1982, § 36 -203) <br />Secs. 44-679-44-730. Reserved. <br />ARTICLE III. SIGN REGULATIONS* <br />DIVISION 1. GENERALLY <br />Sec. 44 -731. Purpose and intent. <br />The purpose of this article is to establish standards to control the erection, use and removal <br />of signs in the city. <br />(Code 1982, § 36 -226) <br />Sec. 44 -732. Applicability; requirements not exclusive. <br />(a) No sign shall be erected, placed, altered or moved unless in conformity with this article. <br />(b) Nothing in this article shall be taken to relieve any person from complying with any <br />other section of this Code or city ordinance. <br />(Code 1982, § 36 -227) <br />Sec. 44-733. Compliance required. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to install or rebuild any sign contrary to: <br />(1) The requirements of this article. <br />(2) The conditions of any permit issued under the terms of this article. <br />(3) The terms of any article, regulation or specification adopted or referenced by this <br />article. <br />(4) Any notice or order lawfully given or referenced by this article. <br />(b) Any person who violates any of the sections of this article or who causes or permits any <br />unlawful act to be done in violation of this article shall be liable to the penalties imposed in <br />section 44 -743. <br />(Code 1982, § 36 -228) <br />*State law reference — Advertising devices, Minn.
