The sale of used <br />2 motor vehicles by a licensed motor vehicle dealer is permitted, but may only occur in <br />3 conjunction with on -site new vehicle franchises and the sales of new motor vehicles. <br />4 <br />5 D. .Rental and leasing of motor vehicles permitted. The resale of motor vehicles previously <br />6 rented or leased by the licensed leasing or rental business owner is a permitted use. (Ord. <br />7 854, 9 -10 -1979; amd. 1995 Code) <br />8 <br />9 1007.03: I -2 GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS: <br />10 The General Industrial District is designed primarily for manufacturing, assembling, and <br />11 fabrication activities including large scale or specialized industrial or motor freight operations, <br />12 whose external physical effects will be felt by surrounding districts. The I -2 District is structured <br />13 to permit the manufacturing, processing and compounding of semi- finished or finished products <br />14 from raw material as well as from previously prepared material. The I -2 General Industrial <br />15 District is intended for certain areas designated as I Industrial areas in the - Comprehensive Plan. <br />16 <br />17 A. Permitted, Accessory, and Conditional Uses: See Use Chart, Section 1007.015. The <br />18 following uses, shown in Section 1007.015, shall apply to all land and buildings that may be erected, <br />19 converted, or structurally altered in this zoning district. <br />B.. Storage: <br />22 1. Within Enclosed Structure: The following storage shall be conducted wholly within an <br />23 nclosed structure: <br />24 a. Inoperative equipment, with "inoperative" being interpreted to mean a state of <br />25 malfunction, physical deterioration or some other physical condition rendering the <br />26 equipment incapable of being properly utilized for its intended purpose and in need of <br />27 repairs, disposal or replacement. <br />28 b. Inoperative vehicles, with "inoperative" being interpreted to mean a state of <br />29 malfunction, deterioration or other physical condition rendering the vehicle incapable of <br />30 movement under its own power. Such vehicles would include those involved in accidents, <br />31 awaiting engine repairs, in need of body repair or painting and similar conditions. <br />32 2. Within Solid Opaque Wall Or Fence: The following storage shall be conducted wholly <br />33 within an area enclosed by a solid opaque wall or fence no less than eight feet (8') in <br />34 height and only in a I -2 General Industrial District: <br />35 a. Building materials and lumber sales. <br />36 b. Areas used for rental yards. <br />37 c. Machinery sales, and hulk firewood sales. <br />38 d. Dirt, sand, gravel and rock sales. <br />39 e.
