MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL & PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 14, 2008 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a joint workshop meeting of the <br />City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 14th day <br />of February, 2008 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member Mr. Michael McGraw <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />ABSENT: Council Member Ms. Barbara Allan <br />PLANNING <br />COMMISSION: Chair <br />Vice Chair <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. John Hall <br />Mr. Jeff Helmeke <br />Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Code Enf. Officer Ms. Jessica Jagoe <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to review proposed <br />R-1 Zoning District changes, I-1 Zoning District Changes, and the <br />timeline for Comprehensive Plan Update. <br />R-1 The City Planner began a detail review of the proposed changes to the <br />ZONING R-1 Zoning District. He noted the proposed limitation of 35% maximum <br />DISTRICT lot coverage in impervious surface, as well as reviewed the language <br />allowing that threshold to be exceed by Administrative Permit approved <br />by the City Engineer subject to mitigation requirements. The Planner also <br />noted the recommendations of the City Engineer relative to excess <br />impervious surface mitigation which he will incorporate into the ordinance <br />amendment. <br />
