n i nri ..Mobile.
Debra 3. Weiss
S1277 County Road NN
Alma, Wisconsin 54610 -8364
Subject;
Dear Debra:
vv. UIUL .. L
August 3rd, 2005
T- Mobile U.S.A. Site # MN0021, 53 South Owasso Blvd, Little Canada,
MN 55117
Donovan Construction Property, 45 -Meter (150') Valmont Monopole,
order #13724 -96.
This letter is in response to your Inquiry on behalf of Cingular Wireless about the
structural capacity of the T- Mobile monopole at the Donovan Construction company
yard.
This Monopole was designed and manufactured by Valmont Communications for T-
Mobile in 1996. The pole was designed for collocation as a two - carrier pole, the top
platform at the 147' level for 9 antennas that T- Mobile occupies and the second
level at the 128' elevation for 6 antennas that Sprint PCS now occupies. T- Mobile
has subsequently added Nextel as an additional tenant although they are restricted
to only three omni directional antennas on the top of the top platform. CeIINet has
also been leased space for one omni directional antenna on this structure as well.
Currently all coax -has been run inside of the pole and there fs physically no room
for additional coax inside the pole. Any additional coax will be required to be run up
the outside of the pole which will significantly Increase the wind load and ice load
and stress the pole beyond it's current maximum loading. I will search our archive
files for the structural analysis that was last run.forthe installation of Sprint PCS
antennas. I am sorry that on such short notice that 1 am not able to supply It at this
time.
Please call with any questions or concerns.
Sincere
effre"y : Peterson
Construction Manager for Minnesota,
Iowa and Nebraska,
T Mobile U.S.A.
612.7014)861 (Wireless)
1414b114 115A, Inp.
8000 Went 70'1&, a' lo 400
&4u, MN 55l$9
- 1 3 -
