Fahey
COUNCIL,
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill 6lesener
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As a result of the recent accident that occurred at approximately 200 South Owasso Blvd. and
increased traffic volumes on this street, the city has been asked to determine if no parking should be
established on both sides of the street for the entire length of South Owasso Blvd. from Rice Street
to Country Drive.
For your information, South Owasso Blvd. is 36 feet wide between the faces of the barrier curb on
each side of the street. However, due to the high volume of large truck traffic and
the number of business driveways on this street, staff does not recommend this option.
No Parking On Both Sides of the Street —
Approximately half of South Owasso Blvd between Rice Street and Country Drive is currently
posted no parking on both sides of the street. Due to the high volume of large truck traffic and the
number of business driveways on this street, this seems to provide the safest solution. It should be
