BMP Narne: City Storm Water Education Unique ID: 1 -01 -R MCM: #1 — Public Education and Outreach of Little Ca,.% COMMUNITY ?RIDE 1953 - RC03 Description: The City of Little Canada's storm water education program consists of the activities listed in BMPs 1 -02 -R to 1 -05, 2 -01 -R, 3 -01 -R, 4 -01 -R, 5 -01 -R, and 6 -01 -R as described in the BMP summary sheets that follow. Justification: Having an education and outreach program for each of the six minimum control measures is required in permit provision Part V.G.1. The program will also improve awareness and understanding of storm water issues. Responsible Staff /Position: Public Works Director 65 1..766.4049 Measurable Goals: This BMP is a summary BMP for the public education and outreach activities related to BMPs 1-02 - R to 1 -05, 2 -01 -R, 3 -01 -R, 4 -01 -R, 5 -01 -R, and 6 -01 -R. Therefore, to not duplicate the annual reporting efforts, no tracking and recording of these BMPs will be reported here. All tracking and recording will be reported via each specific BMP. 1. Approval of Public Education and Outreach Program by March 101h of each year. Education Program/Public Outreach: 1. Audience or audiences: All City residents, business owners, City Council and committees, developers, contractors, watershed organizations and others. 2. Increased awareness: BMPs have been selected to increase awareness by making positive impressions on individuals that will help to change attitudes and behaviors towards storm water issues.
