BMP Name: Development Plan Review P <br />Unique ID: 4 -04 <br />MCM: #4 — Construction Site Storm Water Controls <br />of Little can <br />CCfamUNIN BRIDE <br />1953 — 2CO3 <br />Description: <br />The City currently reviews all development site and building plans as part of the City's planning and <br />building peuait process. The City requires RWIVIWD review and issue permits for any land <br />disturbing activity equal to or greater than one acre. <br />Justification: <br />The review process allows early contact with owners or developers to address erosion and sediment <br />control plan and water management standards and criteria requirements of the City, RWMWD and <br />the NPDES Construction Site Phase II permit. <br />Responsible Staff /Position: <br />Public Works Director 651.766.4049 <br />City Engineer 651.644.4389 <br />City Planner 951.595.9636 <br />Building Inspector 651.766.4043 <br />Measurable Goals: <br />1. Review all development plans for all sites for which a building permit is required and applied <br />for. This includes sites Less than 1 acre. <br />2. Track and record the number of sites /projects reviewed annually. <br />3. Identify sites where additional storm water BMPs are needed or recommended and make <br />recommendations to the owner. <br />4. Track and record the number and type of BMPs installed that go beyond the minimum code <br />requirements annually. <br />Im. plementatiou Schedule: <br />1. Continue ongoing program activities. <br />Education Program/Public Outreach Component: <br />1. Audience or audiences: Any resident, contractor, City staff, business or state or public agency <br />conducting land disturbance activities in the City. <br />2. Increased awareness: For all the above listed individuals to identify with the basic goal of the <br />MS4 program - to reduce sediment discharges to City waters from construction sites.
