Goal3: <br />Goal 4: <br />Lormece the Lime t:anaaa parks, schools, and community <br />facilities with a system of bicycle and pedestrian trails. <br />Little Canada has an excellent system of existing <br />connecting trails. <br />Policy 2.a: The Park and Recreation Commission continues <br />to place a high priority on trail connections and <br />has prioritized the projects in the following <br />order: <br />• Country Drive and South Owasso Loop to <br />Waterworks Trail <br />Waterworks Trail /Little Canada Road to <br />Sextant <br />• Little Canada Road /Centerville Road to <br />Edgerton Street <br />North /South Connection — Country <br />Drive /Rice Street to Troutbrook <br />• Sunset Court/Turnquist Wetland Trail to <br />Boardwalk <br />• Rice Street Trail <br />35E Pedestrian Bridge at Demont Street <br />• LaBore Road /Desoto Street to County Road <br />• Centerville Road /County Road D <br />• Waterworks Trail /Railroad Crossing <br />• Powerlfne Trail /Payne Avenue to Pioneer <br />Park <br />• County Road B2, Viking Drive, Demont <br />Connection <br />Provide and improve an identification and way finding <br />system for the Little Canada Trails. <br />Policy 3.a: Provide identification signage for each of the <br />major trail segments. <br />Policy 3.b: Provide a trail orientation and way finding <br />system at key locations to direct trail users to <br />important features and destinations. <br />Provide a safe and convenient trail and walkway system <br />for both pedestrians and bicycles. <br />Policy 4.a: Recognize that on- street and off- street trails, <br />walks, and bike lanes each have an important <br />role in the City's trail system. <br />Policy 4.b: Evaluate each trial, walk and bike lane <br />component on a case -by -case basis to <br />determine a preferred on- street and off- street <br />location based upon safety, convenience, <br />feasibility and resident impact. <br />urinary Draft: February 27, 200! <br />
