Hanson <br />Renewal of Gambling License and Premises Permits for Pull -Tab Sites at <br />Brady's, Saxon Lanes, and Spooner Park <br />License Permit April 1, 2004 through March 31, 2006 <br />The Mayor, representatives of Canadian Days, and staff members recently met with Tom Barrett, <br />Executive Director for the Gambling Control Board, to discuss the likelihood of Canadian Days <br />obtaining a premises permit for a pull -tab site at Brady's. .Due to recent legislative changes with <br />regard to rent structure and controls, Gambling Control is now agreeable to allowing pull -tab sales <br />from behind the bar at the Brady's site. <br />Canadian Days is requesting approval of a Premises Permit for the Brady's site, and attached is a <br />signed lease agreement. If the Premises Permit is approved, Canadian Days may begin operation of <br />the site as early as February 1". <br />Canadian Days license period commences on April 1". As a result, Canadian Days is additionally <br />requesting approval of the renewal of their Gambling License and Premises Permits for the license <br />period April 1, 2004 through March 31, 2006. The Premises Permits include pull -tab sales at Saxon <br />Lanes, Brady's (if the premise permit discussed above is approved), and Spooner Park (pull -tab sales <br />during the Canadian Days Celebration). Canadian Days is currently completing their renewal forms <br />and I will have them available at Wednesday's meeting it' the Council is interested in reviewing them. <br />City staff recommends approval of the Premise Permit for the Brady's site as well as the renewal of <br />the Canadian Days' Gambling License and Premises Permit subject to submittal of completed <br />application materials. <br />1 <br />
