Optional Provisions. The following chapters of Minnesota Rules are not a <br />mandatory part of the code, but are hereby adopted by reference by the City of Little <br />Canada and are incorporated into this ordinance as completely as if set out in full. <br />1. Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1306, Special Fire Protection Systems with <br />Subpart 2 (existing and new buildings); and, . <br />2. Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1335, Floodproofing Regulations, parts <br />1335.0600 to 1335.1200. <br />3. Appendix, Chapter K (Grading) of the 2002 Supplements to the 2000 <br />International Building Code. <br />301.050. Signs. A permit shall be required for all wall signs, pylon signs, roof signs, <br />projecting signs and billboards. <br />301.060. Survey and Corner Stakes. The owner or developer of any residential, <br />commercial or industrial property being built upon shall provide a survey of the subject property, <br />have stakes in place on the corners of each such lot, shall stake the location of the building, and <br />shall establish the grade elevations for inspection purposes prior to the inspection of the structure <br />footings by the Building Official. <br />301.070. Driveways. Driveways for vehicular use shall be a minimum width of nine feet <br />and shall be constructed of crushed rock, bituminous cement or concrete. The design of, and the <br />materials used for, all driveways shall be in accordance with engineering standards prepared by <br />the City Engineer and approved by the City Council for bituminous or concrete driveways only. <br />3 <br />
