The City approved a PUD for this
development to accommodate the company's operations, including a large storage yard
adjacent to the wetland area.
PUD Amendment. One of the conditions of the original PUD approval was for a
landscape screen of Spruce trees and a security fence of chain link with black vinyl
coating. The purpose of the black vinyl was to minimize the visibility of the fencing
material.
The applicant wishes to change the fence height from eight to six feet, eliminate the
black vinyl coating, and change its final location to connect to the buildings in more
logical locations. Along the south boundary of the property, the applicant would retain
the black color due to its exposure to property to the south. Along the wetland,
however, the intent would be to construct a galvanized chain link fence since it is behind
the tree planting that adjoins the trail and the edge of the wetland. The trees will serve
to provide screening of the storage yard, and the fence will be required only for security.
In addition to these changes, the applicant has provided site plan information relative to
the location of a canopy- covered fueling station within the storage yard area and other
