PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 560 PERTAINING TO CLANDESTINE DRUG <br />LAB SITES <br />The City Attorney advised Ms. Beckrnan has proposed an ordinance, which is part of the <br />Council's packet. He indicated an addition has been made addressing tenants, which would not <br />preclude the City from collecting reimbursement monies from a tenant. He noted this is a prerty <br />standard ordinance being adopted by cities and providing them a way to recoup money spent to <br />clean up these sites. <br />Upon motion by Johannsen, seconded by Bigelbach, it was <br />04 -04 -070 "RESOLVED, to adopt Ordinance #560 entitled `An Ordinance Declaring <br />Clandestine Drug Labs to be a Public Nuisance, Providing for Their <br />Removal and Clean-up and Assessing Costs Against the Property Owner, <br />and Amending the City Code by Adding Chapter 188'.' <br />Ayes-5 Nays — 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />B. BERWOOD PARK IMPROVEMENTS: ACCEPT TABULATION OF BIDS AND <br />AWARD BID <br />The Public Service Director advised the Park and Recreation Board reviewed this last night, and <br />based on project funding the recommendation was to award the Base Bid and Alternate No. 4 <br />only to Frattalone Companies, Inc. He stated Frattalone Companies, Inc. has agreed to hold <br />Alternates Nos. 1 through 3 in case money becomes available. I-Te indicated Frattalone <br />Companies, Inc. has done work for the city before. <br />Bigelbach asked where the City is at with the purchase of the Konobeck home site. <br />The City Administrator stated they closed on the south portion, which is now City property, and <br />the Konobeck representative is getting an appraisal on the second parcel. He indicated the City <br />will then request an appraisal and staff will then bring it back for consideration by the City <br />Council. <br />Bigelbach asked if there had been any bids on that portion. <br />The City Administrator indicated there had not been any bids. <br />Bigelbach asked if it is dose enough that they could save double mobilization charges. <br />The City Adminisu-ator indicated Konobeck would like to sell by mid - summer, but it will not be <br />possible from both a timing and financial standpoint to add the Konobeck property into he <br />- 2 - <br />
