delegated representative in the proper operation and <br />maintenance of the equipment furnished and installed <br />for the Project. THE ENGINEER shall certify and <br />transmit to THE CITY two (2) copies of all necessary <br />drawings and operation manuals for all equipment, as <br />required by the Project construction plans and <br />specifications. <br />e. Assessment Hearing: THE ENGINEER shall prepare <br />summary of project costs and an assessment roll pursuant to <br />THE CITY'S assessment policies for presentation at the <br />assessment hearing for the project. THE CITY shall complete <br />the assessment hearing notice process. <br />f. Record Drawings: Record drawings shall be furnished to <br />THE CITY within ninety (90) days after THE ENGINEER <br />submits the Contractor's final payment to THE CITY for <br />processing. All field information gathering shall be construed <br />as Basic Services of THE ENGINEER. <br />3. Additional Services of the Engineer shall include the following <br />when authorized by THE CITY: <br />a. Revisions to drawings and specifications that have previously <br />been approved by THE CITY and are the result in a change in <br />project scope requested by THE CITY. This provision does <br />not include any revisions to Contract Documents needed as a <br />result of errors or oversights made by THE ENGINEER which <br />shall be corrected by THE ENGINEER at their expense. <br />b. Assisting THE CITY in arranging for continuation of the work <br />should the contractor default for any reason. This service only <br />contemplates the time expended to arrange for another <br />contractor to take over the project. Once a new contractor is <br />secured, project oversight shall continue as a "Basic Service ". <br />Should it appear that extraordinary time will be expended in <br />overseeing the project by THE ENGINEER beyond what would <br />be reasonably expected had the project not defaulted, then <br />THE ENGINEER shall immediately notify THE CITY of said <br />condition and they shall work out an acceptable arrangement <br />for compensating THE ENGINEER prior to the additional costs <br />being incurred by THE ENGINEER. <br />c. Work performed in connection with acquisition of easements <br />beyond the drafting of the geometry on the plan sheets. <br />d. Providing services as an expert witness for THE CITY in <br />connection with litigation or other proceedings involving the <br />project. <br />e. Additional neighborhood meetings, improvement hearings, and <br />feasibility report revisions beyond one cycle for each area <br />made necessary by THE CITY's decision to delay the potential <br />project until another project cycle. <br />7 <br />
