Hanson
www. ci. iit tle- canada. mn. us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and members of the City Council
FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director
DATE: August 18, 2004
RE: Parking Lot Striping
On Thursday August 12, 2004, the City of Little Canada received and opened the proposals for striping our
parking lots. Sixteen companies were sent a request to submit a proposal and we received five proposals as
shown below.
Company Amount
Asphalt Maintenance Co. $1,400.
Gopher Striping Co., Inc. $1,750.
Interstate Pavement Maintenance $1,365.37
Reliakor Services $1,751.38
Stripe Right $1,668.
The 2004 budget included $1,500 for this parking lot striping work. We requested proposals to stripe 10 of
our 12 parking lots. However, based on the above favorable proposals, it was determined that we may be
able to accomplish all 12 of our parking lots. Therefore, we have requested Interstate Pavement
Maintenance to provide proposals for the two remaining parking Lots. We have not received these two
additional proposals as of this date, but feel we will be within our budget amount.
Recommendation
The Council direct staff to enter into a contract with Interstate Pavement Maintenance, for our 2004
Parking Lot Striping.
II: \GregS \Streets \ Stripping \2004 parking lot striping memo.doc
