MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JULY 8, 2004
SIGN PLANS
TEXT
AMENDMENT —
ANTENNAS
AND TOWERS
TEXT
AMENDMENT-.
SETBACK
REQUIREMENTS
Duray recommended approval of an ordinance amending Chapter 903.110
of the Little Canada City Code, known as the Zoning Ordinance, by
providing for a process for review of Comprehensive Sign Plans in the
"PUD ", Planned Unit Development District.
Motion seconded by Weihe.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
The City Planner presented two proposed amendments to the Zoning
District. The first includes references to new zoning districts which were
adopted after the City's Tower and Antenna Ordinance was adopted. The
second includes reference to new zoning districts in the general zoning
district listing.
Keis recommended approval of an ordinance amending Chapter 903.140
of the Little Canada City Code, known as the Zoning Ordinance, by
providing f for antennas and towers in new zoning districts.
Motion seconded by Rheaume.
Motion carried 5 -- 0.
Keis recommended approval of an ordinance amending Chapter 904 of the
Little Canada City Code, known as the Zoning Ordinance, by providing
for additional zoning districts.
Motion seconded by Rheaume.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
The City Planner presented an Amendment to the Zoning Codes which
changes the front yard setback in the Shoreland District to 30 feet, which
is consistent with the R -1 Zoning District. The Planner noted that while
the Code provides that the more restrictive of the two setbacks is required
when there is an overlap of the R-1 District and Shoreland District
requirements, this has caused some confusion on the part of developers in
the recent past. The ordinance amendment would make the setbacks
consistent, thus eliminating any confusion.
- 14-
