Manson <br />City Administrator <br />515 Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />Re: Revised Legal Services Retainer Agreement (2005) <br />Our File No. 10500 <br />Dear Joel: <br />Please find enclosed two executed originals of our proposed revision of Paragraphs (A), <br />(B), and (C) of the existing Retainer Agreement between the City and our frm, which is to be <br />effective January 1, 2005. As we proposed and discussed at the time of submittal of our <br />proposed budget, the enclosed Amendment increases the monthly retainer for civil legal services <br />from $2,700.00 to $2,900.00 per month. The existing civil retainer was established in January of <br />2003. The enclosed Amendment also increases the monthly retainer for criminal legal services <br />from $4,200.00 to $4,400.00 per month. <br />The enclosed also increases the hourly rate for attorneys for services outside the retainer <br />from $100.00 per hour to $108.00 per hour and increases the corresponding paralegal's rate per <br />hour to one -half of the hourly rate for attorneys. The existing hourly rates have been in effect <br />since January 1, 2002. <br />Assuming the enclosed is acceptable, would you please have the Council authorize <br />execution of the same by the M.ayor and you, and return an executed copy to me for my file.
