Hanson <br />Background: <br />Back in August of 2003 the Council authorized the removal of streetlights along Little Canada Road <br />to be reinstalled along Market Place Drive and Middle Street as these streets were reconstructed. At <br />that time it was estimated it would cost $7,200 to install 4 streetlights along Middle Street (assume <br />reuse of fixture, pole, and base from streetlights removed along Little Canada Road, 550 feet of <br />conduit and wire all installed by plow and bore, includes feed point from Phase 2 work) $7,200 or <br />$1,800 each. <br />Staff requested cost proposals from three companies to install 4 streetlights along the east side of <br />Middle Street (between the sidewalk and street). The results are as follows: <br />Company <br />Arcade Electric Co. <br />Signature Lighting <br />Xcel Outdoor Lighting <br />Proposal <br />$11,487.00 <br />$7,872.72 <br />No proposal submitted <br />Recommendations <br />Based on the above, it is recommended that staff be authorized to enter a contract with <br />Signature Lighting to install 4 streetlights along Middle Street for the amount of $7,872.72. <br />'ezSAStreet tights \Street Lights on hiiddle St 1.Ooc <br />
