Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill I3lesener
ADIVIINISClL11'O2
Joel R. Hanson
When Drywall Supply developed the old Knox property they were required to, and built, the storm water
pond at the south end of their property as shown on the attached sketch. As part of MNDOT's Unweave
the Weave project they are to construct a storm water pond (called Jiggs Pond) between the new District 82
building and the Levitz building, also, as shown on the attached sketch. During the construction of Jiggs
pond, MNDOT has agreed (at no cost) to reshape Drywall Supply pond and remove the berm that would
separate the ponds. This would result better flow and treatment characteristics of the two ponds.
However, MNDOT can not perform the above work unless we grant them a no cost (80) Temporary Permit
to Construct, that would allow them to go onto the City of Little Canada's drainage easement to do the
necessary work. A copy of the temporary permit to construct is attached for your reference.
Based on the above, staff recommends the no cost Temporary Permit to Construct be appproved.
H:vGrcgSVCarspondenee'.Grcg S 200-I‘Pcnint to construct pond (tin maava the AVc; c).doc
