1.a. No unique issues. <br />2.a. <br />It appears that we have ample right -of -way in front of the five or six houses on the east side <br />ofJackson. Further confirmation is needed. Sidewalk currently exists on the south portion in <br />front of the townhomes. <br />3.a. No unique issues assuming we have right -of -way along townhomes. <br />3.b. Right -of -way is 33 feet. South portion is being used as an access to a home north of Allen. <br />This would essentially be an "off - street" trail if DeSoto is not improved. <br />4.a. This section poses a challenge due to the need for acquisition of at least two parcels. <br />(Hoelscher at 3047 Payne and Heinel at 3007 Vanderbie.) <br />4.b. This represents the safest way to cross Edgerton. Crosswalk option is less expensive, but <br />more dangerous. I believe the most economical time to schedule this project is in conjunction <br />with I694 /County Road D /Edgerton Street project. <br />5.a. This would be a way to connect Pioneer and Spooner areas to the Westwind area as well as <br />the power line trail. I feel there is an ultimate need for both of these connections. <br />5.b. If Ramsey County does not re -align this section of pavement to the center of the right -of -way <br />when the road is improved, we will need to acquire easements from five properties. The road <br />is paved right up to the property lines on the east. There will also be relocation of several <br />utility poles needed with the present pavement alignment. <br />6.a. The main obstacle here is the crossing of a railroad track and South Owasso Street. <br />7.a. This could be a cooperative effort across school district property due to the school wanting to <br />improve a walkway from the school to the area ofJackson and Demont. <br />8.a.b.c. Challenges include the possibility of a need to acquire additional right -of -way. Sections of <br />this area presently receive a lot of pedestrian traffic next to roadway. The need will increase <br />as development continues along Rice Street. <br />2 <br />
