at final depths of 3.5 to 14,5 feel below ground surface.
corresponding to elevations of 861.6 to 864.5 feet. The ground
water table generally lies on a gradient from the south down
toward the creek to the north. However, the observed water level.
at Test Hole 5 appears to be slightly elevated. This localized
higher e.1ev !.ton represents a perched ground water condition
created by the dike at the north end of the property, The watei
level of the creek was measured at 861,2 feet on August 23,197£.
STRUCTURAL INFORMATION
it is proposed to build a one - story, slab-on-grade main -,
tenance building measuring approximately 34' x 147' in plan
area, at the present time„ An addition measuring 34' x 68' may
also be built adjacent to the northeast end of the presently
proposed structure, at some time in the future. The building
will have masonry exterior bearing walls with vertical control
joints incorporated into the walls at regular intervals.
Structural loads on the footings of such a building are typica
lly moderate.
Design finished floor level of the building has not yet
been established. However, it will probably be fairly close to
existing level of the adjacent street, This would involve 3
to 4 feet of additional fill at the south end of the building
grading to 14 to 15 feet of additional fill above present
grade within the northern portions of the building area,
ANALYSIS AND RECOMMfE_NDATIONS
K,,,,,,,, The buried organic soils encountered within the norther
portions of the building are weak and compressible.
S 'V r3 .1.
