LITTLE CANADA
PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT
515 Little Canada Road / Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
Telephone: (651) 766 -4029 / Fax: (651) 766 -4048
TO:
FROM:
DATE:
RE:
JIM MORELAN, Director
(651) 766 -4045
DON BOWMAN, Program Coordinator
(651) 766 -4041
DEREK ANDERSON, Program Coordinator
(651) 766 -4042
GREG HOAG, Parkkeeper
(651) 766 -4056
MEMORANDUM
Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director
December 9, 2002
Applicants to the Parks & Recreation Commission
Ginger Glaser of the Parks & Recreation Commission and I met with Gretchen Crary for the Parks &
Recreation Commission vacancy. We feel that Ms. Crary is well qualified for the Commission, and
she seems to be genuinely interested in serving the community. We also feel the process of bringing
applicants in to discuss their ideas and to inform them of the Commission's role in our City
government is a very positive step. We feel Ms. Crary has a very good understanding of what is
expected of her and what her contributions might be.
In summary, we believe that Gretchen Crary would be a very good Parks & Recreation Commission
member and encourage her appointment.
Craig Larson's term is also up and he has requested reappointment. Craig has been an asset to the
Commission, and we support his reappointment.
