Unfortunately, the city ordinance does not allow for individuals living in Little
Canada to own and operate a business in another city and still qualify for the exemption (see
attached ordinance). If you would like to appeal this decision to the City Council and ask them
to amend the current ordinance, please let me know.
In the meantime, we must respectfully request you set up your service with BFI. Their customer
service number is (651) 455.8634. This should be done so your first service is effective by
Wednesday, October 30, 2002. We will verify with BFI that this has occurred.
I'm sorry this outcome is not what you wanted. If you have any further questions, please feel
free to give me a call (651) 766 -4040.
Sincerely,
Hanson
City Administrator
H:UessieaAByme Exemption.doc
3
