Proposed Ordinance for the City of Little Canada <br />Pipeline setback <br />The purpose of this article is to protect the public from the hazards of a <br />pipeline leak, by requiring that new buildings designed for human use or <br />occupancy and their attachments must meet a required minimum setback. <br />Applicability <br />This article shall apply to any new subdivision, building, or addition <br />proposed to be located within 150 feet of a pipeline, 6 inches diameter or <br />more. However, additions to building that were constructed prior to August <br />25, 2002 shall be exempt from this article. <br />Note: This ordinance is modeled after Maplewood's ordinance. The <br />proposed setback is recommended by the Office of Pipeline Safety from the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety (State Fire Marshal's office). <br />
