MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JUNE 13, 2002 <br />Increment Financing District No. 3 -3 conform to the general plans for the <br />development and redevelopment of the City. <br />Motion seconded by Wojcik. <br />Motion carried 6 — 0. <br />OUTDOOR The Deputy Clerk indicated that the City Council is referring the matter <br />STORAGE IN of outdoor storage in the Industrial -Park District to the Planning <br />THE 1 -P Commission in July for study. The Council has discussed the fact that <br />DISTRICT currently outdoor storage in the I -P District is allowed in front of a <br />building, and they are questioning whether or not this location is <br />appropriate. Therefore, in preparation for the July Planning Commission <br />meeting, City staff will put together information on what other cities do in <br />this regard, as well as the location of outdoor storage at existing <br />businesses in Little Canada's I -P District areas. The report will also <br />include an analysis of the Zoning Code's definition of screening and <br />whether or not staff feels the definition is adequate or if it should be <br />improved. The Deputy Clerk asked if the Planning Commission had <br />suggestions for other research related to this topic that could be done prior <br />to their July meeting. <br />Keis suggested that staff determine what other cities are using for <br />screening, such as wood fencing versus chain -link with slats.
