The agreement is an updated version of one
the City had with another individual in 1992.
The Parks & Recreation Department has been operating the concession stand with City employees for
the past 10 years while trying to find a group or an individual interested in operating it. Mr. Giuliani
has performed these duties as an employee of the City; however, he has now expressed an interest in
operating the concession stand on a private basis. This arrangement will save the City several
hundred dollars annually since it eliminates the need to have a City employee open and secure the
Pioneer Parlc facility each day. Mr. Giuliani has agreed to perform these duties as part of his
agreement with the City.
1 would recommend approval of the proposed agreement for the private operation of the Pioneer Park
concession stand.
