The applicant has a <br />business and residence at 111 East Canada Rd. The business is a and development <br />and construction management company. The request mentions that no employees <br />report directly to this address, but that there may be stops made by family members and <br />extended family members. The applicant states that the home does not have any <br />exterior alteration, nor any signage, regular deliveries, or any pedestrian or vehicular <br />traffic by customers. <br />Any home occupations within the city of Little Canada are considered accessory uses <br />within the R -1 (single family residential) district. Accessory uses are regarded as <br />reasonably necessary and incidental to the primary use, which in this case is as a <br />residence. Specific requirements for home occupations include the following: <br />General Home Occupation Requirements <br />• Any home occupation shall be clearly incidental and secondary to the residential <br />use of the premises, should not change the residential character thereof, and <br />shall result in no incompatibility or disturbance to the surrounding residential <br />uses. <br />• There shall be no exterior storage of equipment or materials used in the home <br />occupation, except personal automobiles used in the home occupation may be <br />parked on the site. <br />Requirements — Permitted Home Occupations <br />• No person other than those who customarily reside on the premises shall be <br />employed. <br />
