Hanson Background: In accordance with the feasibility study, plans and specification, the 2002 Street and Utility Improvements project was advertised and bids were opened on Wednesday June 5, 2202. This project includes the reconstruction of Sextant and Stark Streets; the construction of Market Place Drive; repair of Ryan Drive; Construction of Rondeau Park; parking lot paving; and the repair of the sanitary sewer manhole at the intersection of LaBore Road and Edgerton Street. The Engineers estimate for all of this work is $1,422,689. Bids: A total of 12 construction companies and 7 suppliers /subcontractors requested copies of the plans and specifications. However, only one company, Palda and Sons, provided a bid. Palda and Son's bid of $1,698,990.72 is approximately $276,301 over the Engineers estimate for this work.
