Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
ADiMINISPRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
An appraisal of the Rutzick property has been completed. A review appraisal is also being conducted; the
results of which I should have by Monday. Assuming the review appraisal supports the original appraisal
conducted by Mr. Michael Bettendorf, we should commence action to acquire this property. (Please note
that I am not revealing the value indicated in the appraisal until the review appraisal is completed.)
To commence this process, three documents are enclosed for your approval to initiate the process. They
are as follows:
• Resolution Establishing Just Compensation, Approving Appraisal of Value of Real
Property, and Authorizing Offer to Acquire Rutzick Property
• Draft of Offer of Just Compensation Letter to Rutzick Family LP
• Resolution Initiating Acquisition
If you are in agreement with these documents, and subject your acceptance of the appraisal of value, then
I would recommend adoption /approval of the above documents. (Please note that we will be acting in
our capacity as the EDA for these transactions.) If there are any questions regarding this process, I
would request they be directed to the City Attorney.
