Hanson
Mr. Pat Johnson is requesting approval for a filling permit to place approximately 400 cubic
yards off 1l around his swimming pool in the back of his yard at 3032 La Bore Road. See
attached sketch.
I have review the filling request and visited the site. Mr. Johnson wishes to create a flat area
around his pool, therefore, he is proposing to place fill in the area east of his swimming pool to a
maximum depth of approximately 5 feet by 70 feet long by 30 feet wide. He is proposing to stay
10 feet away from the existing tree line.
I have reviewed this project with the Ramsey /Washington Metro Watershed District and since no
wetlands are impacted, no permit from them is required.
Since more than 100 cubic yards of fill are being placed, City council approval is required. It is
recommended that the Little Canada City Council approve Mr. Johnson's request to place
approximately 400 cubic yards of fill, on his property at 3032 La Bore Road, adjacent to his
swimming pool subject to the following conditions:
1. Silt fence be install along the tree line prior to placement of any fill.
2. No fill material be place with in 10 feet of the tree line.
3. The fill area be seeded or covered with sod as soon as possible to reduce soil erosion
in the area.
H:AGiegS \Fill Permits \Pat Johnson 3032 La Bore Rd..doc
- 2 1 -
