MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 27, 2008 <br />an opportunity to take corrective measures on their own. The Attorney <br />noted that Council action authorizing City staff to undertake the abatement <br />will still provide the property owner a period of time to step forward and <br />address the problem. <br />McGraw asked about other problems that might be encountered with the <br />unit when clutter is being removed. The City Administrator noted the <br />workscope outlined to abate the nuisance, and indicated that if additional <br />problems are encountered that fall within this workscope, they will be <br />addressed. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-2-59 -FINDING THE EXISTENCE OF A <br />PUBLIC NUISANCE AT 122 DEMONT, UNIT #274, AND <br />ORDERING THE ABATEMENT OF SAME <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LITTLE The City Administrator reviewed his report dated February 22, 2008 <br />CANADA relative to the need to prune and shape trees along Little Canada Road. <br />ROAD He reported that two quotes were received for this work, one from S & S <br />TREE Tree Specialists in the amount of $2,090 (110 trees at $19 each) and the <br />TRIMMING other from Precision Tree in the amount of $990 (110 trees at $9 each). <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO.2008-2-60 -AWARDING THE QUOTE OF <br />PRECISION TREE IN THE AMOUNT OF $990 FOR PRUNING AND <br />SHAPING TREESALONG LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GAMBLING The City Clerk reported that North Suburban Youth Foundation (NSYF) <br />LICENSE has made application for renewal of their two-year Gambling Permit for <br />RENEWAL - their bingo operation at the Little Canada Bingo Hall. The license period <br />NORTH is from April 1, 2008 through March 31, 2010. The Clerk reported that <br />SUBURBAN the application materials are in order, 10% Fund payments are current, <br />YOUTH and staff recommends approval of the renewal. <br />14 <br />
