This letter is to request a change in holiday pickup days for Gene's Disposal Service. The
contract states "When holidays fall on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, the collection
shall be made one (1) working day later." However Gene's Disposal Service has always
done holiday pickups in a different way, and would like to continue to do pickups the
same way as we've been doing them since we started business. We believe this would be
Less confusing for our customers.
The way we do holidays is: When the holiday falls on your pickup day, your pickup will
be the next day, otherwise your pickup remains the same day. So when the holiday falls
on Wednesday, the pickup would be the next day (Thursday), however if it falls on any
other day (including Mon & Tues), the collection would still be on Wednesday.
This change in holiday pickup days would affect the weeks of the following holidays:
Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012
Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4fh, 2012 (the 4°' is a working day for us)
Labor Day, Monday, September 31`1, 2012
Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25`1', 2012
New Year's Day, Tuesday, January 1 ", 2013
Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th, 2013
Labor Day, Monday, September 2"`l, 2013
Memorial Day, Monday, May 26", 2014
Labor Day, Monday, September 15', 2014
Memorial Day, Monday May 25", 2015
Labor Day, Monday, September 7' ", 2015
Memorial Day, Monday, May 30", 2016
Independence Day, July 4th, 2016
Labor Day, Monday, September 5' ", 2016
We would appreciate your authorization of this request. As we did with the last contract
we would send notification to the customers 14 days prior to each change in the schedule.
Thank You,
Gene Wegleitner
