MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 14, 2002 <br />Motion seconded by Duray. <br />Motion carried 5 — 0. <br />BUS BENCHES The City Planner reported that he was not able to put together a proposed <br />AS TEMPORARY amendment to the Zoning Code relative to allowing bus benches as <br />SIGNS temporary signs within the public right -of -way. The Planner indicated <br />that he would have this ordinance for the Commission's review at its next <br />meeting. <br />Len Theil, U. S. Bench, indicated that they have removed their benches <br />from the right -of -way until the City resolves this issue. Theil requested <br />that if the ordinance is adopted, that U.S. Bench be allowed to replace the <br />benches that they previously had in the City. <br />Keis indicated that if the ordinance is adopted, the City would give <br />consideration to a fair and equitable treatment of U.S. Bench. <br />Keis recommended tabling action on the amendment to the Zoning Code <br />relative to bus benches as temporary signage in the rights -of -way until the <br />March 14th Planning Commission meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Carson. <br />Motion carried 5 — 0. <br />CUP FOR There was no one present representing Norm's Tires this evening. The <br />NORM'S Planner indicated that he was waiting for additional information from <br />TIRES Norm's Tires since the last meeting, and no new information has been <br />submitted. <br />Keis recommended tabling action on the request for CUP from Norm's <br />Tires pending receipt of the additional information from Norm's Tires to <br />the City Planner and contingent on representatives of Norm's agreeing to <br />extension of the 60 -day review period. <br />Motion seconded by Knudsen. <br />Motion carried 5 — 0. <br />10 <br />
