EXTRACT OF THE MINUTES OF' MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNICL OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 13, 2002 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was duly called and held at the Little Canada City Center in said City <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />The following member were present: <br />And the following members were absent: <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION <br />IN SUPPORT OF SEIERMAN ASSOCIATES' APPLICATION TO THE RAMSEY <br />COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND DAKOTA <br />COUNTY CONSORTIUM HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS <br />RICE STREET AND LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />GATEWAY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada recently adopted an updated Comprehensive Plan <br />as well as a Redevelopment Guide that included a review of land use and redevelopment <br />opportunities within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has identified and southeast corner of Rice Street and Little <br />Canada Road as a priority for redevelopment; and <br />WHEREAS, the updated land use plan identities mixed-use development as appropriate <br />for this site, including a mix of housing and neighborhood retail services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan also calls for the creation of new life -cycle and <br />affordable housing opportunities in the City to meet changing community needs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City supports Sherman <br />Associates' efforts to provide affordable senior housing at this site and asks Ramsey <br />County to join the City and Sherman Associates as a partner in this development. <br />The motion was duly seconded by Council Member and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />And the following voted against the same: <br />This resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by 13th day of March, 2002. <br />
