Hanson
The City of Little Canada holds a permit with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to
operate a storm water system. As part of the permit process we are required to hold an
annual public hearing at which time any comments from the public are accepted and
taken into consideration in relation to the City's Storm Water Pollution Prevention
Program (SWPPP). This is the formal process of receiving comments. Comments from
the public regarding anything storm water related are always welcome. All comments
will be recorded and investigated by City Staff to determine the best course of action in
dealing with the issue raised in the comment.
The City is also required to complete an annual storm water report to be sent in to the
MPCA for review to show compliance with our permit and our progress towards
improving water quality in the City. I will briefly review the annual report for 2011 and
discuss plans for 2012 at the meeting.
