The HousingResource Centers MI have been in existence since 1995 and, in 2000, at the request of the 35W Corridor Coalition, we expanded our services to residents in the Coalition cities. This services has now been expanded to serve residents of North St. Paul. Our services include: • Providing housing information to residents including information on emergency assistance, housing rehabilitation, first time home buyers and limited rental information • Providing construction management services including home inspections to homeowners considering rehabilitation, preparing scopes of work, educating homeowner on the construction bid process, evaluating bids and work completed to ensure quality and cost effective renovations and monitoring the construction process • Administering a number of home improvement programs including the Mounds View Manufactured Programs, the Ramsey County CDBG Deferred Loan Program, Rehab Incentive Program, the MHFA Fix Up Fund, the MHFA Rental Rehab program and the MHFA Rehabilitation Loan Program • Working with city and county staff to secure additional funding needed to develop other housing programs such as the Senior Housing Regeneration Program or Single Family Rehabilitation Programs Since the inception of the HousingResource CentersTM, we have provided 40,869 services to 28,715 clients. In the North Metro office (which serves Arden Hills, Circle Pines, Coon Rapids, Mounds View, New Brighton, North St. Paul, Roseville and Shoreview) we have provided 5,896 services to 2,982 clients. We administer a number of loan programs through the North Metro office including the Circle Pines Revolving Loan Program, Coon Rapids Zero Interest Home Rehabilitation Defen-ed Loan Program, Mounds View Manufactured Housing Program, Ramsey County CDBG Deferred Loan Program, Rehab Incentive Program and the Roseville Revolving Loan Program. Through these programs, we have provided 475 loans totaling $1,766,323, and our construction managers have provided 1,387 construction consultations. Our loan programs have leveraged millions of dollars in rehabilitation over the years. The Rehab Incentive Program has provided 1,381 homeowners with $1.5 million in rebates (funding that GMHC brought to the communities) for a total of over $13 million in rehabilitation.
