Townhome and condominium owner- <br />. <br />occupants are also eligible for the program for interior home <br />iniprovernents. To qualify, the loan borrower must be beloyv 80% of the <br />metro area median income. Examples of eligible projects include <br />repairing roofs, improving heating systems or upgrading insulation. <br />Coon Rapids Zero Interest Home Rehabilitation Gran.t/to.an <br />The City of Coon Rap! ' Zero Interest Home Rehabtation Grant/Loan is <br />available for home improvements necessary to meet minimum housing <br />quality standards. Up to 50% of the loan is converted to a grant over time <br />and the loan . becomes repayable only when the home is no longer the <br />principal resident of the recipient of the funds. The homeowner must meet <br />income requirements to participate in the program. <br />Mounds View Manufactured Housing Program <br />This program contains two deferred loans for the Mounds View <br />Manufactured Home Community: 1) for the borrower's down payment <br />and/or closing costs for the mortgage being used to finance the purchase <br />of a new manufactured home and 2) for the borrower's rehabilitation of an <br />existing manufactured home. A 0% interest loan for a maximum of $5,000 <br />is available for purchasing a home, and a 0% interest loan for a maximum <br />of $3,000 is available for rehabilitating the home. The loan is forgiven after <br />5 years unless the property transfers ownership before 5 years.
