We truly believe that Canadian Days 2003 was one of our most
successful years, not only because of the wonderful weather, but because it incorporated
organizations, businesses and families from throughout the entire community.
It has been two years since we last approached you about our interest in expanding
charitable gambling operations to the Bingo Hall. Since then, our gambling operations
have not improved at Saxon Lanes and in fact are less profitable because of the large
increases in fees and taxes levied during the last legislative session. We believe that in
order to sustain a successful festival, we need the additional funding that would be
possible from operations at the Bingo Hall.
We are asking that you consider granting Canadian Days a premise permit at the Little
Canada Bingo Hall, so that we may pursue funding our festival through bingo operations.
We need to submit our completed Gambling License Renewal by January 30, 2004, so
we are asking for your prompt consideration of our request. Please let us know if you
have any questions or need any additional infonnation.
Sincerely,
Little Canada Ca nadian Days, Inc. /
Susan Nelson
President
HONORING THE WORLD'S CON., L.,, UNDEFENDED BORDER
