Hanson
Mr. Don Wolkerstorfer is requesting approval for a filling and grading permit to complete the project he
started in June 2001 to protect the existing garage and house from damage done by erosion. See attached
memo dated June 21, 2001.
Mr. Wolkerstorfer obtained approval to place 8,000 cubic yards of material behind the multi unit residence at
131 -133 Twin Lake Blvd and was to complete this project by September 2001. Since that time staff has
been trying to get Mr. Wolkerstorfer to complete this project in accordance with the original fill and grading
permit. Besides not completing this project within the specified time limit, silt fence was never installed,
asphalt and concrete were used as part of the filling material, and the existing trees were never removed.
Mr. Wolkerstorfer has agreed to correct this project and bring it into compliance with city standards. He has
agreed to pay double the normal fee for this second permit for the violation on noncompliance of the first
permit and to cover administrative costs of repeated inspections of this site. He has a contractor lined up to
start work on this project and complete it by the end of October pending Council approval. Mr.
Wolkerstorfer has agreed to accomplish this project subject to the following conditions:
1. Silt fence will be installed 5 feet away from the toe of the fill area.
2. All dead and affected trees in the fill area will be removed.
3. All asphalt and concrete will be removed from the fill area.
4. The slope of the 1111 area will have a minimum slope of 1 foot vertical to 1 foot horizontal.
5. The entire fill area will be seeded with a perennial grass seed.
F1: \CregS \Pill Permits \Don Wolkerstorker 131 -133 Twin Lake 13Ivd_doc
